We are not a traditional travel agency. We combine our own accommodation with curated partnerships for tours and vehicles. Our articles and guides are free for everyone.

Accommodation — KAKU Ikebukuro
What is KAKU Ikebukuro?
KAKU Ikebukuro is our collection of five individually designed studio flats in the heart of Ikebukuro, Tokyo. Each unit is a private apartment with its own bathroom, kitchenette, WiFi, and projector.
How far is KAKU from Ikebukuro Station?
KAKU is approximately a 7-minute walk from Ikebukuro Station's West Exit. Ikebukuro is one of Tokyo's major transport hubs with JR, Metro, and private rail lines.
Does KAKU have WiFi and is it good for remote work?
Yes, all KAKU units have free high-speed WiFi. Each studio has a desk area and a quiet environment suitable for remote work.
Can KAKU accommodate groups or families?
Each KAKU studio is designed for 1-2 guests. For groups, you can book multiple studios in the same building. Contact us for group inquiries.
What amenities are included at KAKU?
Every KAKU studio includes: free WiFi, air conditioning, kitchenette with IH cooktop, microwave, refrigerator, private bathroom with shower, hair dryer, shampoo and soap, projector, double bed, and 24/7 self check-in via key box.
How do I book a room at KAKU?
You can book directly through our website at kakutokyo.com. Select your preferred studio, choose dates, and complete the reservation online. Check-in is at 3:00 PM, check-out at 10:00 AM.

What motorcycle tours are available?
We offer three guided motorcycle tours through our partner Moto Tours Japan Kyoto: the 7-day Kii Peninsula Tour, the 17-day One-Way Adventure, and the 20-day Grand Tour of Japan. All tours are fully guided with bilingual support.
Can I rent a campervan in Japan?
Yes, through our partner Japan Road Trip you can rent campervans from locations across Japan including Tokyo, Osaka, Hiroshima, Fukuoka, and Hokkaido. Vehicle classes range from compact to premium.
Do I need a special license to ride a motorcycle or drive a campervan in Japan?
Yes, you need an International Driving Permit (IDP) issued in your home country. For motorcycles, your IDP must include a motorcycle endorsement. Obtain your IDP before traveling to Japan.

When is the best time to visit Japan?
