The Meiji Jingu Museum, opened in 2019, is a stunning example of modern architecture blended with nature. Designed by Kuma Kengo, the architect behind Tokyo’s New National Stadium, the museum’s use of wood creates a harmonious connection with its lush surroundings.
Exhibits and Historical Significance
Spanning 3,200 square meters over two floors, the museum showcases artifacts related to Emperor Meiji and Empress Shoken. Visitors can explore items that provide a deeper understanding of Japan’s imperial heritage and the legacy of these important figures.
